I often get asked about how much you should know before purchasing Playing Through The Blues.
This video from youtube makes the answer simple – know these chords.

>Really the purpose behind that video was to help people make an educated decision about buying into my course. I’ll try and clear up a couple of things:
1. It isn’t a DVD, it’s download only. This has the advantage of being MUCH cheaper, and it’s instantly available. I hate waiting for stuff to arrive in the mail. If you want it on a CD or DVD, you can burn it if you want.
2. As for breaking out of a rut, I think it would definitely help with that. If you already know the 5 boxes of the blues scale, that’s great, but really I can train a monkey to play the 5 boxes. Learning to play the blues and really kill it is about learning how to work with the changes and show your audience that you are following what’s going on in the band behind you.
If you find yourself playing the same thing all the time, it’s because you are thinking the same way about it. If you’re not approaching the I, IV, and V chords differently, then this course will definitely help you out of that.
I hope that helps, feel free to email me if you have questions. I’m not hard to find….
I’m glad you put a clip up on youtube, it clears up a few things about your series and also gets you a bit more exposure.
I had been considering ordering your dvd for some time. But I wasn’t quite sure about what I could expect to learn from it. I know it shows quite a bit in the ad, but it never mentions how much there was on video, which is such a great way to learn. The clips in the ad are very short and so it wasn’t clear if the video portion really shows you much.
Also, what isn’t really clear, is what I can expect to be playing if I work my way through the course. I’ve been playing a long time, but I need work on my improv stuff. Every time I’m jamming with someone, I go back to the same old tired stuff. will your series help me stretch out some and get out of the same old rut?
